     Mary Magdalene Becker was born on 16 June 1835 at Christs Church, Littlestown, York Co. PA.

     Jacob Bucher I got this information from the 1850 Straban census and Jacob was a widower so I had to give him a 'wife' in order to input the children. He had RE of 4,500 and was a farmer. His father and mother were living with him. He was born circa 1803 at Adams County, Ohio. He was the son of Jacob Bucher and Elisabeth (?).

     Elisabeth (?) Elisabeth might possibly be an Oswalt. The daughter of Henry Oswald and Elisabeth Peters. As the two baptisms that we have found have an Oswald as a sponsor of each child. She was born circa 1779; Adams Co. Straban Twp., 1860 census.

     Elisabeth (?) married Jacob Bucher, son of John Bucher /Beecher and Elisabeth Keplinger, circa 1802.

     

Samuel Bucher was Farmer. He was born circa 1823; Adams Co., Straban 1850 census. He was the son of Jacob Bucher.

     

Henry Bucher was Farmer. He In the 1860 census, Henry and Elisabeth have a 14 year old girl living with them named Eliza. She is listed below a childl, Mercy, age 3, which makes me wonder if, while her land name may be Bucher, she belongs to another family. They are not old enough to have a 14 year old child. He was born circa 1829; Adams Co., Straban 1850 census. He was the son of Jacob Bucher.

     Henry Bucher married Elizabeth (?) circa 1844.

     Elisabeth Bucher was born circa 1827; Adams Co., Straban 1850 census. She was the daughter of Jacob Bucher.

     Mary Ann Bucher was born circa 1836; Adams Co., Straban 1850 census. She was the daughter of Jacob Bucher.

     

Jesse Bucher was Day Laborer. He He married Margaret. He was born circa 1841; Adams Co., 1870 Mt. Pleasant Twp., census. He was the son of Jacob Bucher.

     Florence E. Bucher was born circa 1859; From 1860 Mt.Pleasant, Adams Co. census. She was the daughter of Jacob Bucher.

     Wm. N. Bucher was born circa 1862; From 1870 Mt. Pleasant, Adams Co. PA census. He was the son of Jacob Bucher.

     Charles W. Bucher was born circa 1863; From 1870 Mt. Pleasant, Adams Co. PA census. He was the son of Jacob Bucher.

     Harriet G. Bucher was born circa 1866; From 1870 Mt. Pleasant, Adams Co. PA census. She was the daughter of Jacob Bucher.

     Margaret (?) was born circa 1848 at Canada.

     

Isaac Shank was Farmer. He was born circa 1824.

     Isaac Shank married Catherine Beecher /Bucher, daughter of David Beecher /Bucher and Anna Margaretha Gilbert, on 14 January 1846.

     Isaac Shank died on 3 December 1856; Arendtsville Lutheran Church.

     Mary Ann Shank was born circa 1847; 1850 Butler Twp., Adams Co. PA census, pg 12. She was the daughter of Isaac Shank and Catherine Beecher /Bucher.

     Henry Isaac Shank was born on 29 March 1856 at Butler Twp., Adams Co. PA. He was the son of Isaac Shank and Catherine Beecher /Bucher.

     David Beecher Shank was born on 6 July 1850 at Butler Twp., Adams Co. PA. He was the son of Isaac Shank and Catherine Beecher /Bucher.

     Samuel Shank was born on 3 August 1852 at Butler Twp., Adams Co. PA. He was the son of Isaac Shank and Catherine Beecher /Bucher.

     Jacob Ambrose Shank was born on 29 December 1854 at Butler Twp., Adams Co. PA. He was the son of Isaac Shank and Catherine Beecher /Bucher.

     David Saltzsgiver was born circa 1814.

     David Saltzsgiver married Catherine Beecher /Bucher, daughter of David Beecher /Bucher and Anna Margaretha Gilbert, circa 1860; Married in 1860 Butler Twp., Adams Co. Census.

     Charles Saltzsgiver was born circa 1863 at Butler Twp., Adams Co. PA; From 1870 Adams Co. census, enumerated with David Beecher. He was the son of David Saltzsgiver and Catherine Beecher /Bucher.

     George Calvin Beecher In the 1860 Butler Twp. census, there is no Calvin but there is a George C. who is age 14, so they must be one and the same person. He was born circa 1845 at Butler Twp., Adams Co. PA; Adams Co., Butler Twp., 1850 census, pg. 12, Dwelling 166. He was the son of Samuel Beecher /Bucher.

     David H. Beecher In the 1860 Butler Twp. census, David has the middle initial 'H' and his age is given as born in 1849 - 11 years. He was born circa 1847 at Butler Twp., Adams Co. PA; Adams Co., Butler Twp., 1850 census, pg. 12, Dwelling 166. He was the son of Samuel Beecher /Bucher.

     Charles F. Beecher In the 1860 Butler Twp. census, Charles has a middle initial 'F' and is listed as age 11. He was born in May 1850 at Butler Twp., Adams Co. PA; Adams Co., Butler Twp., 1850 census, pg. 12, Dwelling 166, age. 1/12. He was the son of Samuel Beecher /Bucher.

     Mary E. Beecher was born circa 1846 at Butler Twp., Adams Co. PA; Adams Co., Butler Twp., 1860 census, pg. 3, Dwelling 700. She was the daughter of Samuel Beecher /Bucher.

     Clara J. Beecher Clara named two of her children: George Nevin and Samuel Beecher. I was always told that my father was named for a minister. These two children would be of my grandmother's, Mary Elisabeth Camp, generation. This could be the connection. Her husband recorded, in 1909 and published in the PA German Magazine, the tombstone inscriptions of persons born prior to 1800 and past 16 years at death at Arendtsville, Adams Co., PA. This is the only place John Beecher's wife's maiden name is recorded. The stones are no longer available to read but since he was married to the g-granddaughter of John and Elisabeth Beecher, I believe that he knew this from personal knowledge if it was not on the tombstone and he added this to the record. He also said John was a soldier of the revolution and I cannot find a pension record for him. She was born on 1 April 1852 at Butler Twp., Adams Co. PA; Adams Co., Butler Twp., 1860 census, pg. 3, Dwelling 700. She was the daughter of Samuel Beecher /Bucher.

     Clara J. Beecher married Neander A. Gobrecht on 2 April 1871 at Arendtsville, Adams County, Pennsylvania; Republican Compiler, Gettysburg, Adams Co., PA.

     Samuel B. Beecher was born circa 1855 at Butler Twp., Adams Co. PA; Adams Co., Butler Twp., 1860 census, pg. 3, Dwelling 700. He was the son of Samuel Beecher /Bucher.

     Sarah A. Beecher was born circa 1859 at Butler Twp., Adams Co. PA; Adams Co., Butler Twp., 1860 census, pg. 3, Dwelling 700. She was the daughter of Samuel Beecher /Bucher.

     Elizabeth (?) was born circa 1830 at Pennsylvania.

     Elizabeth (?) married Henry Bucher, son of Jacob Bucher, circa 1844.
