Elisabeth Sechler was buried at Center Cemetery, Southington, Trumbull County, Ohio.1 She We have not been able to find the date of their marriage but her father mentioned Elisabeth, wife of Jacob Wannemacher, in his Will which was written 21 May 1836 and proved 15 June 1836. He directed his son-in-law, Charles Kistler, to purchase land for his daughter. On 2 Dec. 1839 Elisabeth Wannemacher of Liberty Twp. Trumbull Co., OH purchased 20 acres of land in Lordstown Twp. Charles Kistler signed for her. [TCRD 9:177]. Jacob was listed as the owner in the census of 1840 and 1850 but she sold the land in 1860 and moved to Southington Twp. She purchased land 13 Apr. 1860 adjacent to her son Charles. [TCRD 87:263]. Elisabeth is listed in the 1870 and 1880 census. There is a quit claim to Charles. from her children and the children of desceased son Samuel, for their interest in lot #26, which had belonged to Elisabeth [Sechler] Wannemacher. [TCRD, Book 139:510-515]. While there is a birth record in Warren, OH, there is some doubt that the child, Mary Elisabeth, b. 1849 and married to Mr. Fusselman is actually her child but might not be a granddaughter; Elisabeth would have been 52 when this child was born.

Elisabeth Sechler married Jacob Wannemacher at Lynn Twp., Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. Elisabeth Sechler was born on 12 December 1797 at Lynn Twp., Northampton County, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Heinrich Sechler and Julianna (?).      Son Donat There is a theory that this unknown son may be the Daniel mentioned in Henry Sechler's will, and who died before the 1840 census. Then the child named Henry Franklin Smith, age 12, in the 1850 household of Elisabeth Donat, could possibly be the one I have called Daniel and he could have been listed in the age group 1-5 in the 1840 census. I don't believe it myself. He was born circa 1829 at Lynn Twp., Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Catherine Sechler.
