     Maria Margaretha Hoover She married Philip Fehl. She was buried at Greenmount Cemetery, Arendtsville, Adams County, Pennsylvania. She was born circa 1778 at Codorus Twp., York Co. PA. She was the daughter of Johan George Hoover /Huber and Catherina Miller.

     Maria Margaretha Hoover died on 20 September 1850.

     

     Magdalena Huber died; Died young. She was born on 9 August 1780. She was the daughter of Johan George Hoover /Huber and Catherina Miller.

     Anna Maria Huber She married Henry Jones but was a widow by 1818. She was born on 20 July 1782 at St. Jacob's Ch., Cordorus Twp., York County, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Johan George Hoover /Huber and Catherina Miller.

     Jacob Hoover was born on 16 April 1784 at Cordorus Twp., York County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Johan George Hoover /Huber and Catherina Miller. Jacob Hoover Jacob moved with his family to Menallen Twp., York Co., PA [now Adams Co.] about 1792. In 1808/9 he appeared on the tax lists as a single man. In 1809/10 he was off the singlemen list, so lacking any church proof, that is when I assume he was married to Barbara. They sponsored a child for Joseph and Katy Kemper on July 2, 1809 [Bender's Church record]. In 1815 after his father died, Jacob moved his family to Millersburg [now Fairfield], Hamiltonbann Twp., to practice his trade. In 1820 Barbara was listed as Mistress Barbara Hoover in the Federal census for Hamiltonbann with all her children. It is stated in a letter dated 1903 [Historical Society of York, PA] that Jacob had traveled west to find a place to settle and was never heard from again. He either had an accident or was killed by Indians. This information is from a letter by Miss Sarah J. Hoover of Hooversville PA, Somerset Co. - the granddaughter of Jonas Hoover, a brother of Jacob's. In 1822, on the Hamiltonbann tax lists, the Hoover children were on the poor list. The town paid to send them to school because Barbara could not. George, Elisabeth and Julian were listed until Julianne was removed in 1826, Elisabeth was removed in 1827 and George was gone in 1830.
In April of 1851 the children sold land which their father owned in Hampton Town, Reading Twp. [Book 2, pg 521]. They said the deed had been misplaced. The land was #28 situated on the SW side of Baltimore St. bounded as follows: Beginning at the corner of lot #27 thence N 20 degrees; W 65 feet along a 20 foot alley to another alley of the same width; thence N 60 degrees; E 200 feet thence along the Turnpike Rd; S 20 degrees, E 65 feet to corner of lot #27; thence by said lot S 60 degrees; W 200 feet to a twenty feet alley to the place of beginning. This being part of the premises of John B. Arnold and wife, Rachel, by joint indenture dated 15 Aug. 1813. It had buildings on it. circa 1792.

     Jacob Hoover married Barbara Moritz circa 1809 at Menallen Twp., Adams County, Pennsylvania; They were sponsors in the first half of 1809 at Bender's.

Jacob Hoover was Cabinet Maker circa 1810.

     Jacob Hoover died circa 1818; Disappeared in 1818 going over the mountains.

     

     Johan Huber died; Died young. He was born in May 1785. He was the son of Johan George Hoover /Huber and Catherina Miller.

     Georg Hoover He married Susannah Tate and moved to Ohio. He was born on 12 February 1788 at St. Jacob's Ch., Cordorus Twp., York County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Johan George Hoover /Huber and Catherina Miller.

     Maria Eva Hoover She married Fred Eichholtz. She was born on 11 February 1788 at St. Jacob's Ch., Cordorus Twp., York County, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Johan George Hoover /Huber and Catherina Miller.

     Elisabeth Hoover was born on 31 January 1790. She was the daughter of Johan George Hoover /Huber and Catherina Miller.

     Catharine Hoover She married George Eichholtz. She was born on 1 October 1798. She was the daughter of Johan George Hoover /Huber and Catherina Miller.

     Jonas Hoover was christened on 14 August 1794 at Bender's Church, Menallen Twp., Adams County, Pennsylvania; Sponsors: Balthasar and Mary Elisabeth Rudisil. He was the son of Johan George Hoover /Huber and Catherina Miller.

     

Samuel Hoover was Tailor. He He married second the widow of John Noles of Henry Co., IL. He was born on 12 January 1792. He was the son of Johan George Hoover /Huber and Catherina Miller.

     Samuel Hoover married Margaret Raffensberger on 3 July 1819.

     Barbara Moritz Her grave is in the Blythe family plot. Her daughter, Julianne, married a Blythe and she evidently was living with her daughter when she died. She was age 51.8.29. She was born on 10 June 1790 at York County, Pennsylvania.

     Barbara Moritz married Jacob Hoover, son of Johan George Hoover /Huber and Catherina Miller, circa 1809 at Menallen Twp., Adams County, Pennsylvania; They were sponsors in the first half of 1809 at Bender's. Barbara Moritz was buried in March 1843 at Lower Marsh Cr., Hamiltonban Twp., Adams County, Pennsylvania; In the Blyth plot.

     Barbara Moritz died on 9 March 1843 at Hamiltonban Twp., Adams County, Pennsylvania, at age 52.

     

Samuel Hoover was Farmer. He They were gone from the Adams Co. Tax lists by 1857. Most of this information came from the 1850 Adams Co., Hamiltonbann Twp. census and the Eiker Genealogy. He was buried at Fall Cemetery. He was born on 5 November 1810 at Menallen Twp., Adams County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Jacob Hoover and Barbara Moritz.

     Samuel Hoover married Amelia Eicker on 10 March 1835 at Fairfield, Adams County, Pennsylvania.

     Samuel Hoover died circa 1881 at Wabash Co., IN.

     Elizabeth Hoover was buried at City Cemetery, Coulterville IL. She was born on 5 August 1812 at Menallen Twp., Adams County, Pennsylvania; 28 July 1814 from Eicker Book. She was the daughter of Jacob Hoover and Barbara Moritz.

     Elizabeth Hoover married Samuel L. Eiker on 22 August 1832 at Fairfield, Adams Co. PA.

     Elizabeth Hoover died on 7 April 1874 at Sparta, IL, at age 61.

     

John Hoover was Tanner/StoreKpr. He In the Republican Compiler there was a notice of a child, David Hoover, age 2 mos who lived near Arendtsville who died 11 April 1843, page 234. Could he be from this family? John was listed in various censuses as a tanner, and storekeeper. He was a hero when he traveled to Reading and captured Frederick Smith, the murderer of Frederick Forster, a tailor from Arendtsville. He brought Mr. Smith back where he stood trial and was sentenced to be hanged but he committed suicide before the sentence could be carried out.
John was living at 109 Cass St., Dayton when he died. The mortality schedules said he was an epileptic. Sophia was living at 20 S. Tecumseh St. in 1887. Their daughter, Amelia, a recent widow came to Dayton that year. She had with her two daughters, Annie, and Bertha. Mary Catherine was already there, married to S. Baker Hall. Hall and Samuel Gilbert set up business together. Amelia's daughter Mame had preceeded her to Dayton by one year and moved in with Mary Catherine and her husband. In 1900, after the death of her husband, Mary Catherine left for the west with her son, daughter and mother, Sophia. They lived with the Crillys,daughter Irene in Blaine until Gertrude Hall found work 25 miles away in Bellingham.
The deed from Book S, page 527, ACCH shows that John and Sophia were the son and daughter-in-law of Jacob and Barbara Moritz Hoover. He was born on 8 July 1813 at Menallen Twp., Adams County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Jacob Hoover and Barbara Moritz.

     John Hoover married Sophia Susannah Beecher /Bucher, daughter of David Beecher /Bucher and Anna Margaretha Gilbert, on 26 August 1840 at Beechersville, Adams County, Pennsylvania.

     John Hoover died on 29 July 1878 at Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio, at age 65; Mortality Schedule of census said he was epileptic. Ohio Historical Society, Columbus, OH.

     Julianne Hoover was born circa 1810; 1850 Franklin Twp., Census, pg 163. She was the daughter of Jacob Hoover and Barbara Moritz.

     Julianne Hoover married David Blythe before 1838.

     Anna Margaretha Hoover was born on 20 April 1815 at Menallen Twp., Adams County, Pennsylvania; Sponsored by Peter & Catharine. Don't know surname. She was the daughter of Jacob Hoover and Barbara Moritz.

     

George M. Hoover was Farmer. He Most of the information on this family came from the records of the Falls Cemetery, Wabash IN. 1838-1971. and the 1870 Wabash Co. IN census. He was born circa 1817. He was the son of Jacob Hoover and Barbara Moritz.

     George M. Hoover married Elisabeth White on 20 February 1840 at Adams County, Pennsylvania; Republican Compiler, Gettysburg. Feb. 25, 1840. George M. Hoover was buried on 26 March 1892 at Falls Cemetery, Wabash, Wabash Co., IN; Lot 681-2.

     George M. Hoover died on 26 March 1892 at Wabash IN.

     Amelia Eicker was buried at Fall Cemetery, Wabash, Wabash Co., IN.. She She was the daughter of David and Nancy [Zimmerman] Eicker. She was born on 13 January 1814 at Adams County, Pennsylvania.

     Amelia Eicker married Samuel Hoover, son of Jacob Hoover and Barbara Moritz, on 10 March 1835 at Fairfield, Adams County, Pennsylvania.

     Amelia Eicker died on 11 April 1865 at Wabash Co., IN, at age 51.

     Samuel L. Eiker was buried at City Cemetery, Coultersville, Randolph Co. IL.

Samuel L. Eiker was Laborer. He These people lived two doors from David Blythe according to the 1850 Hamiltonban Adams Co. PA census, pg. 143. Also listed with the family was a Jane Foot, age 15 who was black but attended school during the year. Who was she? Some of the information on this family came from the Eicker Genealogy. Samuel Eiker and Amelia Eicker were brother and sister. His parents were David and Nancy Eicker. He was born on 16 November 1809 at Pennsylvania.

     Samuel L. Eiker married Elizabeth Hoover, daughter of Jacob Hoover and Barbara Moritz, on 22 August 1832 at Fairfield, Adams Co. PA.

     Samuel L. Eiker died on 10 September 1858 at age 48.

     Sophia Susannah Beecher /Bucher When Sophia died in Bellingham WA her daughter, Georgianna, insisted that she be brought to Seattle to be buried. She was buried at Lakeview Cemetery, Seattle, King County, Washington. She was born on 7 September 1822 at Beechersville, Adams County, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of David Beecher /Bucher and Anna Margaretha Gilbert.

     Sophia Susannah Beecher /Bucher married John Hoover, son of Jacob Hoover and Barbara Moritz, on 26 August 1840 at Beechersville, Adams County, Pennsylvania.

     Sophia Susannah Beecher /Bucher died on 20 June 1901 at Bellingham, Whatcom County, Washington, at age 78.

     David Blythe His parents were David Blythe [1740-1831] and Elisabeth Finley. He was born circa 1787; 1850 Franklin Twp., Census, pg 163.

     David Blythe married Julianne Hoover, daughter of Jacob Hoover and Barbara Moritz, before 1838.

     David Blythe died on 21 April 1849 at Franklin Twp., Adams Co. PA; Republican Compiler, Gettysburg, PA - age 62.

     Elisabeth White was born circa 1821.

     Elisabeth White married George M. Hoover, son of Jacob Hoover and Barbara Moritz, on 20 February 1840 at Adams County, Pennsylvania; Republican Compiler, Gettysburg. Feb. 25, 1840. Elisabeth White was buried circa 1892 at Falls Cemetery; Lot 681-3.

     Elisabeth White died on 5 July 1892 at Wabash Co., IN.

     Eve (?) was buried at Emanuel's Ref., Hamilton Twp., Adams Co. PA.

     Eve (?) died on 16 June 1820; Age 65 years.

     Eve Hoover was born on 31 December 1773 at Cordorus Twp., York County, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Ulrich Hoover /Huber and Eve (?).

     Johan Georg Hoover was born on 10 January 1776 at Cordorus Twp., York County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Ulrich Hoover /Huber and Eve (?).

     Jacob Huber was born on 20 August 1778 at Cordorus Twp., York County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Ulrich Hoover /Huber and Eve (?).
