She was Miss Blanche McFee, charming finance of Nevin Craver, graced the role of honor at a matinee bridge assembly of lovely appointments Saturday at Mrs. Wade Trimbur's home in Niles. Reference: Christina Bitting. However, the only Christina Bitting that I know of was the daughter of Ludwig Bitting. I have a copy of his will [writ: 25 Sept. 1721, proved: 24 Feb. 1776] and in that his daughter, Christina, was married to Franz Leydich. I find Christina and Franz listed as sponsors in 1780 for her brother Henrich's child. Also at Great Swamp Church, Montgomery Co., PA 13 July 1769, Johannes, a child of Philip Graeber's was baptised by Rev. John Theobald Faber. The sponsors were Joh. Rhoeder and Stina Bitting.

Mostly has his information wrong most of the time. Unless there is another Christina Bitting Philip cannot have married this Christina.
We have found a deed dated 1787 which names Philip's wife as Sarah. We do not know her last name.

Something makes me think that Philip Graber's mother, the widow of Andreas Graber who died in 1760, married a Johan Michael Reuter. There is a burial for an Anna Maria Gertruta Reiter, born 1709, buried 5 July 1776. Another entry for Johan Michael Reuter and Gertraut when they sponsored Johan Michael, son of Carl and Christina Durr on 17 May 1773. Christina Durr was Ulrich Graber's daughter. I wonder if this is the same name [Reuter] as Roeder.
I also have a record of a daughter of Andreas Greber and wife ,Anna Maria Bitting, being born Nov. 5, 1765, christened 8 Dec. 1766. Sponsors: Philip Graber and Christine Bitting.

Schultze notes that Graber's sale was held under date of August 12, suggesting the possibility that his possessions may have been impounded and sold to satisfy creditors. This position is sustained by a document which Schultze prepared on October 25, 1769. In some respects at least, this is the most unusual agreement ever prepared by Schultze. It represents a new departure for dealing with cases involving bankruptcy, an innovation which can best be described as Christian and indeed, the document is addressed to all Christian people. It provides Graber with a fair opportunity to redeem his reputation and business, assures him of the unqualified support of his creditors and forbids, under penalty of law, any attempts to hinder him from attaining this end 'from the Beginning of the World to the Day of the date hereof.'
